Nitrogen Supercritical Microcellular Forming Injection Molding Technology

Welcome to the future of efficient injection molding. DKM combines advanced microcellular foaming technology (commonly known as MuCell®) with our professional manufacturing capabilities to launch the SCF microcellular foam injection molding solution, redefining the possibilities of manufacturing. This technology utilizes supercritical fluids (such as nitrogen or carbon dioxide) injected under high pressure into the plastic melt to form a homogeneous single-phase solution. When the melt is injected into the mold and pressure is released, hundreds of millions of closed-cell micro-bubbles, ranging from 5 to 100 microns in diameter, are instantaneously generated, achieving uniform microcellular nucleation.

This purely physical foaming process uses no chemical additives, paving the way for unprecedented design freedom, significant cost savings, and exceptional product performance. DKM provides comprehensive support services to help you seamlessly integrate this transformative technology into your production line.

Our DKM microcellular-dedicated injection molding machines are specifically designed to meet the unique demands of supercritical fluid processing. Equipped with a precise Supercritical Fluid (SCF) injection system, they are the core equipment for achieving high-quality microcellular foam production. Featuring high injection speed and low injection pressure, they ensure stable, high-quality product manufacturing—whether for automotive and appliance components or thin-wall consumer goods, our equipment delivers reliable performance.

A successful microcellular process begins with mold design. DKM collaborates with SINOMOULD to provide specialized mold solutions tailored for the microcellular process. Following new design principles, our molds comprehensively consider factors such as venting systems, gate location, and wall thickness to fully unlock the potential of this technology.

The syringe printing machine is used for precise the printing of graduated lines on the surface of barrels. There are different printing process options available to meet your different output needs.

Five Key Design Elements for Microcellular Foam Molds:

DKM provides a complete range of auxiliary equipment, including key peripheral systems such as Supercritical Fluid (SCF) generation and injection units, high-precision mold temperature control, and dehumidifying drying systems, helping you build a fully optimized microcellular production cell.

Microcellular foaming technology is compatible with a wide range of thermoplastics. DKM has extensive expertise to help you select the most suitable material for your specific application. By reducing melt viscosity, our process enables materials to flow farther and fill more complex geometries than ever before.
