The 38th China International Plastics and Rubber Industry Exhibition (CHINAPLAS 2026) will be held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Hongqiao), Shanghai, from April 21 to 24, 2026. DKM will present its latest 20L IML paint bucket production line at booths 5.1C71 & 5.1C75, featuring live, fully automated high‑efficiency production from raw material to finished product.

This paint bucket line continues to innovate in delivery time, cycle time, and machine stability, providing customers with a mature, reliable turnkey solution. The finished containers use In‑Mold Labeling (IML) technology, offering a premium appearance with labels that never peel off – widely used in the paint and chemical packaging industries.

DKM has optimized the molding parameters for the 20L IML paint bucket for different material flow rates:

MFI=4 material

Cycle time only 15.5 seconds, and the finished container passes a 2‑meter drop test, ensuring high reliability during transport and use.

MFI>20 material

Cycle time can be further reduced to 14 seconds, significantly increasing output per hour.

This speed performance is achieved by the deep synergy between the DKM‑Victor series fast‑speed machine (200 mm/s injection speed) and the SINOMOULD paint bucket mold, delivering a breakthrough in both efficiency and quality.

The paint bucket mold for this line is supplied by SINOMOULD, a specialized mold supplier, with the following core advantages:

  • The main body is made of P20 steel – higher strength and hardness, longer service life, ensuring stable long‑term production.
  • Wear‑prone and moving parts use SP400 steel, guaranteeing smooth lifter movement without jamming, improving production efficiency.

Mold Main Material

  • Beryllium copper inserts replace complex cooling channels in critical heat‑dissipation areas.
  • A total of 49 cooling circuits on the front and rear molds enhance cooling, reduce machining difficulty, and increase cooling speed.

Cooling System

  • A single‑point needle valve + venting water circuit design significantly shortens cycle time.
  • Eight zero‑degree clamping structures ensure precise alignment, more stable product dimensions, less deformation, and higher yield.
  • Core areas use 718H steel – excellent polishability and hardenability, long mold life.

DKM provides the Victor series fast‑speed machine for this paint bucket line, with an injection speed of 200 mm/s and 20‑30% energy savings for the whole machine.

Infrared heating bands (EXXSON brand): heating conversion rate up to 99.8%, 30‑85% energy savings compared to conventional bands, more precise temperature control, stable part dimensions, and reduced heat emission in the workshop.

Heating System

  • Standard electric accumulator enables simultaneous plasticizing during mold opening, significantly improving cycle time.
  • Servo motor drive increases screw speed by 20‑50%, better plasticizing effect with low energy consumption.
  • Standard 12‑inch touch‑screen (HITECH) with the latest control software, adding a pre‑mold‑opening function to shorten cycle time even further.

Control System

  • Upgraded oil pump provides higher flow, achieving 200 mm/s injection speed – fast filling, shorter injection time.
  • Rexroth dual proportional valves for hydraulic control: response time <0.1 sec, fast injection response, precise positioning.
